I have an old Hi-8 camera I found on the junk shelf, so I figured it would be good to hack. A camcoder is crazy complex inside. It wasn&#8217;t that simple to take apart and the tape mechanism stayed completely shut through all the dismantling. I can&#8217;t imagine losing the power and having an important tape stuck in there.
